Fowlers Gap is approximately 112 km north of Broken Hill and is a research station owned by the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The area is quite remote and consists of rocky ridges and flat or gently undulating land with floristically diverse semi-arid grasslands and scrublands. The area supports a rich biodiversity with numerous bird species, mammals and reptiles that depend on and respond to changes in ground cover. Fowlers Gap is also a working farm with more than 5000 sheep. For more information visit https://www.fowlersgap.unsw.edu.au
